I am free...

People everywhere, convinced that this is all they have ever wanted and therfore is all they have ever strived for. The are convinced because they are told thats what they should want. It wasn't untill a few weeks ago that I realised I didn't have to get married if I didn't want, I always had thought of it as something that is just going to happen. I don't have to have kids. I don't have to live by the law.

  1. No, you don't have to do any of those things. But there will always be people who will try to force you to. It's a world of wants and pleasures, and the man with the bigger gun can take what he wants.

So you build youself up, trying to be that bigger man. But when you get there, you can't see where you once were; you can't see the reason to get out. So you climb and climb in hopes that you won't fall down.

Life is just a game of ladders. You look down and see how high you are. You look up and see something better, and so you climb...

  2. Your given choice. And that choice you make determines what your next outcome will be. Wether you get married or choose to be a criminal, its all based on that one little choice you make.

  3. You're kind of free, but you're not completely free.

  4. starsuckers.

people inherently follow the most successful people in the group. it's a basic instinct we have to survive. so if the 'norm' is to do those things we will do those things, to survive. taking any other path will result in a shorter lifespan.

    sad but true, sigh~

  14. I've seen that post all over. It pisses me off. Misinformation. Yes, you have to send your kids to school, but you are free to choose what job you do. You are free to choose your clothing. You are free to walk in the grass (as long as it is yours). Think.

  16. Everyone's free. You can do whatever you want, but some actions might have consequences. So in effect, you're free to make any decision you want but you'll probably have to deal with the consequences if there are any for that action.

  24. Freedom is not an actuality in this world - it is a mentality. In order for one to be free, he must will himself free and forgo the basic laws and customs set before him in order to venture off and do what he chooses.

  25. Freedom is just a state of mind, that is, if you are not full of madness!

  26. All of that is true, but freedom is not freedom from the repercussions of your actions. Just sayin'.

  27. None of us can say we're truly free. We'll always have some sort of restriction, always something binding us down. If we think we are free, then we are free but that's only because we're being ignorant to the truth.
